Snow Across the Great Lakes, Central Appalachians, and Northeast; Unsettled Weather in the West

Light to moderate snow will continue into Saturday over the Great Lakes, Central Appalachians, and Northeast. This weekend into next week, a series of atmospheric rivers will bring gusty winds, periods of heavy rain, and mountain snow to northern California and the Pacific Northwest. As of September 12th, 2019, with 3.5 months yet to go, Kennebec has broken a *yearly* precipitation record with 31.38" in 2019 (30.25" in 1915). Records go back to 1893.

Sisseton, Mobridge, Pierre and Watertown also already rank in the top 10 for wettest year on record. 2019 currently ranks as the 29th wettest year in Aberdeen (42.11" in 1896).
