Due to equipment issues and the process of realignment, the NOAA Weather Radio transmitter in Roswell, New Mexico (station WWG-36) will be inoperable indefinitely. Therefore, audio broadcasts will be unavailable until the transmitter is restored.

This transmitter, WWG-36, operates on a frequency of  162.450 Megahertz and previously served southeastern New Mexico, including Chaves county and portions of Lincoln and Eddy counties. Listeners in the Roswell area are encouraged to tune in to the Ruidoso NOAA Weather Radio station, WXJ-38 which broadcasts on a frequency of 162.550 Megahertz (+0.100 Megahertz) and serves portions of Chaves county.
