National Weather Service United States Department of Commerce

There is a slight risk for severe storms for areas east of the central mountain chain. Large hail, damaging wind gusts, and tornadoes are all possible. Have multiple ways to receive warnings!
Widespread critical to extreme fire weather conditions will rapidly spread any fires that develop in western or central New Mexico on Sunday afternoon. Do your part to create one less spark!
Strong southwest winds will develop Sunday, bringing the potential for damaging wind gusts to sections of NM along with reduced visibility in areas of blowing dust and the threat of rapid fire spread.
