Weather Forecast Office
New Mexico is no stranger to wild weather, and it is vital that all New Mexicans know the different types of weather that their community is at risk for. Being prepared is essential for everyone. The Albuquerque National Weather Service office recognizes that emergency preparedness is different for everyone, and people with disabilities tend to be the least prepared for a potential disaster.
We are proud to have partnered with the New Mexico Disability Emergency Planning Advisory Council (NMDEPAC) and the New Mexico Commission for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing (NMCDHH) to produce this series of emergency preparedness videos. Each topic presents the information in a variety of different ways in an effort to aid those in our community who have different needs. Each topic has a video in American Sign Language (ASL) to aid those who are deaf or hard of hearing, and each topic also has a video done with Descriptive Video Service (DVS) to aid those who are blind or visually impaired. |
