National Weather Service United States Department of Commerce

Lingering winter impacts will continue over most of central, east- central, and southeastern NM through Sunday morning before clearing conditions reach the area. Conditions will be slow to improve however given the persistent sub-freezing temperatures lasting into Monday or Tuesday.
Hazardous wind chills are expected to continue through at least Monday morning. Even though winds will generally be light, the already very cold temperatures will feel even colder even with the slightest breeze. Coldest wind chills are expected Sunday night across eastern NM where values below -10 degrees are expected.
A prolonged period of sub-freezing temperatures will continue for much of eastern NM through at least Monday. Overnight temperatures in the single digits will be common.
