Confidence continues to increase that a significant winter storm will impact much of central and northern New Mexico Friday through early Sunday. Take time now to prepare, particularly if you plan to travel.
Rain may change over to freezing rain and possibly sleet before changing to all snow over southeast NM Saturday afternoon. Ice accumulations of greater than 0.05" are possible but forecast confidence is low to moderate. The combination of ice and snow on power lines and tree limbs may create power outages and localized damage.
