National Weather Service United States Department of Commerce

Snow will be heavy at times along the CO border this evening, particulary along I-25 around Raton Pass.
Cold tonight. Snow showers gradually diminishing, except for over the northern mountains and near the CO border.
Snow continues tonight in northern NM. Several inches of additional snowfall is likely in the northern mountains, creating slick travel conditions. There is a low chance that a light dusting in the early morning hours could impact travel in far western NM.
Strong west to northwest wind gusts are expected in the highlands east of the central mountain chain tomorrow afternoon. There is a low chance that the gusty winds will create patchy blowing dust and reduced visibility on roadways.
Winter travel impacts will be relegated to mostly western and northern NM through Thursday. Be sure to check road conditions before heading out, either by dialing 5-1-1 or going to https://nmroads.com!
