Colder, especially across eastern NM behind a backdoor front with mid to high level clouds. Lighter winds compared to yesterday.
Mostly cloudy with low temperatures 5-15 degrees above normal tonight.
Strong westerly winds are forecast late Tuesday through early Wednesday, with the potential for damaging winds along and east of the Sangre De Cristos south to near Clines Corners.
Strong westerly flow and Pacific moisture will combine to bring snow showers to the northern mountains from Tuesday through Wednesday. The Tusas Mountains near Chama will be the main beneficiaries, but very little snow accumulation is forecast in nearby Chama at this time. Several inches of accumulation is also possible across the peaks of the Sangre de Cristo Mountains.
