A Winter Storm Advisory is in effect for the Eastern slopes of the Cascades (>3000 feet in elevation), Northern Blue Mountains (>4000 feet in elevation), and the Columbia Basin. Timing for the advisories will be 4am Friday - 4pm Saturday for the eastern slopes of the Oregon Cascades and the Northern Blue Mountains and 10pm Thursday - 10am Friday for the Columbia Basin. Additionally, A Winter Storm Warning will be in effect for the Washington Cascades from 10pm Thursday to 4pm Saturday. Snow totals of 8-18 inches is anticipated for the eastern slopes of the Washington Cascades.
A winter storm is expected to bring heavy snow across the Washington and Oregon Cascades starting tonight through Saturday afternoon. Additionally, heavy snow is expected for the Northern Blue Mountains Friday into Saturday afternoon.
A glaze to 0.1" of ice is expected along areas of the Columbia Basin and the Yakima/Kittitas Valleys. Timing for this is expected to start at 10pm Thursday through 10am Friday
