Temperatures may break records for the highest low temperatures tonight as clouds slowly thicken overnight. Light rain showers move in Wednesday morning with eventual drying by evening and warm highs in the 60s close to 70 degrees. Warmth lingers in time for more showers and possible storms Thursday afternoon with the warmest highs of the week possible in the low 70s. A strong surface low is expected to pass into the western Great Lakes by Thursday night, with a warm and increasingly moist airmass overspreading our region on Thursday. Scattered showers and storms will likely develop Thursday afternoon and evening ahead of an approaching cold front, and could become strong to severe.
