Snow Showers and Blustery Today; Quiet then Much of the Week

Snow showers can be expected across the area today. 1 to 3 inches of snow accumulation is likely across Central Lower, with an inch or less on grassy surfaces elsewhere before tapering off later today. It will be blustery with wind gusts up to 40 mph expected. Things will quiet down for much of the rest of the week with no major systems expected through Friday. Temps will warm up late in the week. One component of the Cooperative Observer Program in the National Weather Service is the automated precipitation gage. The Fischer Porter system is one of the automated gages that is in use across the country.

In the table below, you will find links to graphs of precipitation data for each site for each year list. You will notice that the precipitation amount periodically falls to near zero - this occurs when the accumulator container is partially or completely emptied.

Additionally, you will find a link to a zipped file containing the complete data set for that year (in 15 minute increments) in csv format. If you click on the CSV link, save the file to your computer, extract it, and then you can view the data in any text editor or most spreadsheet programs..
