National Weather Service meteorologists conducted a survey in Goshen County to assess the damage from a tornado that occurred on Friday, May 15th. This tornado was produced by a supercell thunderstorm that initially developed over southern Goshen County a little before 3 PM. This thunderstorm lifted northeast across the county eventually producing a tornado at around 334 PM about 4 miles east of Yoder, Wyoming. Much of the damage occurred along County Road 49 and Highway 92 south of the city of Torrington. The tornado lifted 1 mile east of Torrington at around 4 PM. Preliminary damage associated with this tornado has been rated EF-1. Below are some damage pictures observed across Goshen County from Friday's tornado.
