National Weather Service meteorologists conducted a survey in Goshen County to assess the damage from a tornado that occurred on Friday, May 15th.  This tornado was produced by a supercell thunderstorm that initially developed over southern Goshen County a little before 3 PM.  This thunderstorm lifted northeast across the county eventually producing a tornado at around 334 PM about 4 miles east of Yoder, Wyoming.  Much of the damage occurred along County Road 49 and Highway 92 south of the city of Torrington.  The tornado lifted 1 mile east of Torrington at around 4 PM.  Preliminary damage associated with this tornado has been rated EF-1.  Below are some damage pictures observed across Goshen County from Friday's tornado.  Additional storm damage information can be found at the link below (select Cheyenne in the initial drop down box).
