Heavy Snow and Gusty Winds in the North-Central US; Freezing Rain Possible in the Northern Plains and Appalachians

Areas of moderate to heavy snow and gusty to high winds are expected across the Northern Plains, Upper Midwest and Great Lakes. Patchy areas of light rain/freezing rain may develop along the rain-snow line over parts of the Northern Plains into the morning. NWS Buffalo Tour Policy

•Requested tours should be made at least  4 weeks in advance.

•Tours are conducted between 11:00 AM-1:00 PM and from 5:00 PM-8:00 PM, Monday through Friday.

•The  maximum size of a tour group shall only be:

 *  15 - if a mix of adults and children.
 *  10 - if adults only.
 *  If your group has more than the above number of people, you can schedule a second tour date to accommodate the extra people.
 *  However, due to limited staffing these requests cannot always be filled.

•The minimum age for a tour is 12 years old.

•We will respond to requests either through an e-mail or a telephone call.

• Scheduled tours may be cancelled due to unforeseen staff shortages or an usually heavy workload due to weather.  We will call if a tour needs to be cancelled or rescheduled.

•A visitor list shall be provided prior to the group visit.  This can be done through the mail or e-mail.

•Proof of group affiliation or form of identification will be requested upon your arrival.

•Plan to minimize personal belongings brought into the NWS.  Packages, purses, briefcases, etc may be subject to manual search.

When sending an email please provide, contact name, phone number, email address, organization, number of people (adult and kids) planning to attend, and a date, if known.
