EF-1 Tornado confirmed near Parksville in Sullivan County NY
Summary
The storm survey team observed a well defined path of tree damage in a mainly wooded area. The tornado passed directly over two residences which only sustained cosmetic damage to siding, roofing, and some chimney damage. Numerous yard ornaments and some rail fencing was displaced to the left hand side of the path of the storm. Tree damage in the core of the path was catastrophic with blow downs, snap offs, twisting of small to medium hardwoods, and large hemlock trees. Damage along the left side of the path indicated a well defined convergent pattern.

Summary
A tornado touched down near altay road at 434 PM EDT in the town of Reading and tracked east snapping and uprooting many trees along its path. The tornado blew a canoe 150 yards from a pond and wrapped it around a pole. There were numerous large splinters from trees and branches impaled in the ground. The tornado partially lifted a roof off of a house as it tracked into the woods. The home was severely damaged. Windows were blown out of a car as well. There was a lot of debris in the canopy including a shingle that was impaled on a branch near the top of a damaged oak tree. The tornado continued east for another couple miles causing only tree damage that tapered off by the time the tornado lifted by Route 14. There were numerous photos and even a video of this tornado.
