A cold front pushes into north Georgia increasing rain and thunderstorm chances into the weekend. Although the chances for widespread severe weather remain low, the highest chances are in north Georgia closer to the frontal boundary this weekend. Main threats for any storms will be gusty winds up to 40-50 mph and lightning.
Heat Index values from around 105 to 108 degrees expected Thursday afternoon and evening for portions of east and central GA.
