Partial Cancellations

Weather.gov > VTEC > Partial Cancellations
 
  1. Select the appropriate followup statement (i.e. SVS)
     
  2. Under the Followup drop-down menu, choose the CON option for the appropriate warning
    a) The CAN option is only used to cancel an entire warning

     
  3. Move the polygon points so they are no longer in the area being cancelled
     
  4. Select Create Text.
    a) 2 segments (CAN and CON) will be created if a county/parish is removed.
     
  5. Edit followup as needed to add reasoning for partial cancellation or new information in continuing segment
     
  6. Send followup
ALL PARTIAL CANCELLATIONS MUST BE DONE THIS WAY TO ENSURE CORRECT VTEC. DO NOT EDIT THE UGC CODE OR MANUALLY ADD THE CANCELLATION AS A HEADLINE.
