A Series of Storms Will Impact the Central and Eastern U.S. into Early Next Week; Pacific Storms Continue to Impact the West

A series of winter storms will impact the Midwest to Mid-Atlantic and Northeast U.S. into next week with locally heavy rain, and a combination of snow, sleet, and freezing rain. Pacific storms will continue to bring strong winds, heavy rain with a risk for flooding to northern and central California, and heavy mountain snow in the Sierras, southern Cascades, and northern Rockies through Friday. 6 Day Forecast for Las Vegas, NV: Temperatures will cool, going from well above normal today to slightly cooler than normal as we head into next week. Breezy winds will continue through Friday with milder weather conditions expected over the weekend.
Gusty southwest winds will return to the region today, sticking around through tomorrow. Widespread 40 to 55 mph gusts are expected across south central California & southern Nevada with 60+ mph gusts in areas of higher terrain. Make sure to secure loose items and use caution when driving.
