Critical fire weather conditions and breezy winds Tuesday. Sustained west winds around 20-30 MPH with gusts up to 50 MPH Tuesday afternoon. To avoid a wildfire: head local fire restrictions, check tow chains, don't drive over vegetated areas, and avoid creating sparks.
Fire Weather Watch signifies that critical fire weather conditions are possible. A Red Flag Warning signifies that critical fire weather conditions are happening or about to happen. Critical fire weather conditions are strong gusty winds, low humidity, and dry fuels (down branches, twigs, etc.)
Ways you can prevent wildfires: Dispose of cigarettes properly, do not through into grass! Do not leave camp fires unattended, and make sure your fire it out completely before walking away. Do not drag chains as sparks can cause fires, and be especially aware around dead grass, as fires can start easily and spread quickly.
