Lake-effect Snow and Whiteout Conditions in the Great Lakes Region; Below-average Temperatures in the East

Heavy lake-effect and lake-enhanced snow will persist downwind of the Great Lakes and produce some whiteout conditions that could cause difficult travel conditions. A coastal low will produce moderate to heavy snow over parts of southern and eastern New England into the afternoon. Data type designator T2

There are TWO tables defined for this designator.

T1   = H

1. The WMO standard Table C3 as documented in Manual 386 PART II, Attachment II-5, and used for T1   = H, which is used in most parts of the world for defining these products.

T1   = H, Y, and Z

2. The U.S. National Practice Table C8 which is used to extend the definitions as defined in WMO manual 386 Table C3, and used for T1   = H, Y, and Z bulletins, used for most U.S. model products.
