Heavy Rain and Flooding in South Texas; Pacific Storm Continuing to Impact the Pacific Northwest

Thunderstorms will continue to bring heavy to excessive rain and possible flooding over the middle and lower Texas Gulf Coast through tonight. A Pacific storm will continue to bring gusty to high winds, hazardous seas, low elevation rain, and mountain snow to the Pacific Northwest through Friday. A Winter Weather Advisory remains in effect from 11 am this morning through 5 pm Friday evening for elevations above 5500 feet along the Sierra/southern Cascades.
A weather system continues to bring precipitation impacts Saturday AM. Overall, minor impacts are expected from rain totals, however slick roads and longer commute times are possible. If any thunderstorm develops, higher totals may result.
A weather system continues to bring precipitation impacts Saturday AM. Overall, moderate snowfall impacts are expected from periods of light to moderate snow above 5500 feet.
Mountain snow impacts are expected as active weather returns to the region. Be sure to check the latest forecast and road conditions before you head out if you have any mountain travel plans!
