              Message Scheme - NWS Communications Identifier 
                            Implementation Plan

THE FILES LISTED BELOW ARE POSTED WITH THE INDICATED IDENTIFICATION.
THESE FILES WILL BE KEPT CURRENT AND NOTICES WILL BE SENT WHENEVER
UPDATES ARE MADE. THIS ESTABLISHES SPECIFIC FILES WHERE SPECIFIC 
INFORMATION WILL ALWAYS BE FOUND. THIS HAS BEEN DONE TO MAKE NWS
COMMUNICATIONS IDENTIFIER IMPLEMENTATION INFORMATION MORE READILY 
AVAILABLE AND TO SIMPLIFY UPDATING THIS INFORMATION.


THIS SERIES OF CROSS-REFERENCE LISTS WILL USE MESSAGE IDS OF XR-00
THROUGH XR-NN.  NN WILL BE INCREMENTED AS NEEDED.

INFORMATION CONCERNING COMMUNICATIONS IDENTIFIERS WILL BE DISTRIBUTED
IN IDP DATAFLOW MESSAGES.  THE IDS OF THESE MESSAGES ARE IN THE FORM 

    MM-YY.NN TEXT DESCRIPTION

MM IS THE MONTH AND YY IS THE YEAR OF ISSUANCE AND NN IS INCREMENTED AS
NEEDED BEGINNING WITH 01 FOR THE FIRST MESSAGE OF EACH MONTH.  AN EXAMPLE IS
PROVIDED BELOW.
