Heat will be on the increase today and Tuesday, but only moderate increases in surface dewpoints and deep vertical mixing up to 6 or 7 thousand feet both afternoons will lead to Min RH values mainly in the low to mid 30s (%). Fairly warm temperatures in the mid levels of the atmosphere will put a lid on most of the convection (showers and thunderstorms) today and Tuesday. However, select areas of orographic forcing and the passage of a subtle upper level disturbance will help to form a few mid afternoon to early evening showers and thunderstorms across the Laurel Highlands and South- Central Mountains. A few of the thunderstorms later this afternoon could produce brief wind gusts of up to 45 mph. Rainfall accumulations should average below 0.10" (and most locations likely stay dry). A strong cold front will bring showers and scattered thunderstorms on Wednesday, some of which could be severe in the afternoon and early evening. Cooler, more seasonable conditions will follow for the end of the week and into Memorial Day weekend. && Warren- Including the city of Warren 144 AM EDT Mon May 18 2026 Today Tonight Tue Cloud Cover Mclear Pcldy Pcldy Precip Type None None Tstms Chance Precip (%) 0 0 30 Chance of Thunder (%) 0 0 20 Temp (24h trend) 91 (+11) 65 (+4) 90 RH % (24h trend) 36 (-20) 76 (-10) 39 20ftWnd-Val/AM(mph) Lgt/Var SW 5 G19 20ftWnd-Rdg/PM(mph) SW 7 G18 Lgt/Var SW 9 G22 Precip Amount 0.00 0.00 0.00 Precip Duration 1 Precip Begin 1 PM Precip End Continuing Mixing Hgt(ft-agl) 6440 500 5270 Transport Wnd (mph) SW 24 SW 12 SW 24 Vent Rate (kt-ft) 135240 5000 110670 Dispersion 5 3 5 DSI 2 2 Sunshine Hours 12 7 Max ADI Early 80 Good 14 Gen Poor 92 Good Max ADI Late 167 Very Good8 Poor 101 Very Good Max LVORI Early 4 3 3 Max LVORI Late 1 3 1 Remarks: ADI is Atmospheric Dispersion Index by Lavdas.
