Clouds will increase this morning with isolated to scattered showers and a few possible thunderstorms streaming east-northeast over western and central PA. Today will be the warmest day of the week with increasing odds for rain expanding from northwest to southeast through Tuesday night into midweek. After early morning showers/storms, rainfall should generally remain confined to along and north of I-80 during the daylight hours today. Southwest winds could gust 30 to 40+ mph this afternoon across the region. RH values will drop into the 20s across the southern tier while cloud cover should keep RH values in the 40-50% range in northern PA. Recent coordination with DCNR fire partners indicates that the Spring fire season is largely over for areas to the south of I-80 due to a very warm April and early greenup. A Special Weather Statement may be needed along and north of I-80 where low RH and gusty winds will overlap with areas that haven't yet seen full greenup. Widespread rainfall is expected Tuesday night into Wednesday. The highest rainfall amounts will occur over the northwest (1-1.5") while the southern tier will see between a quarter and half inch of rain. && Warren- Including the city of Warren 139 AM EDT Tue May 5 2026 Today Tonight Wed Cloud Cover Mcldy Mcldy Mcldy Precip Type Tstms Tstms Showers Chance Precip (%) 90 90 90 Chance of Thunder (%) 50 50 0 Temp (24h trend) 66 (-5) 43 (-8) 55 RH % (24h trend) 57 (+27) 100 (+6) 66 20ftWnd-Val/AM(mph) SW 9 G25 Lgt/Var 20ftWnd-Rdg/PM(mph) SW 9 G27 Lgt/Var Lgt/Var Precip Amount 0.39 0.59 0.28 Precip Duration 5 11 9 Precip Begin 6 AM Continuing Continuing Precip End Continuing Continuing Continuing Mixing Hgt(ft-agl) 3550 570 1660 Transport Wnd (mph) SW 29 NE 5 N 8 Vent Rate (kt-ft) 88750 2280 11620 Dispersion 5 1 4 DSI 2 1 Sunshine Hours 2 2 Max ADI Early 65 Good 13 Gen Poor 10 Poor Max ADI Late 74 Good 4 Very Poor 15 Gen Poor Max LVORI Early 5 7 9 Max LVORI Late 1 8 5 Remarks: ADI is Atmospheric Dispersion Index by Lavdas.
