A plume of moist/tropical air streaming north from the Eastern Gulf of America and Western Atlantic will be funneled into Pennsylvania right into early next week, with a brief reprieve on Sunday as a very weak cold front pushes through the region. Scattered to numerous thunderstorms will occur this afternoon across the Southeastern half of the State and areawide Saturday and again on Monday. Generally warm and dry conditions will occur on Sunday. The heaviest rainfall (locally over 2 inches) and chance for severe weather in the form of damaging wind gusts, hail and locally very heavy rain that could produce flash flooding, will be focused near and to the southeast of I-81 corridor.
