A ridge of high pressure stretching northeast into Pennsylvania from its center over the Tennessee Valley and Central Appalachians, will bring a second day of comfortably cooler and less humid air. RHs this afternoon will dip into the 30s and lower 40s. The next chance of showers arrives across the Northwest and Eastern portions of the state late tonight and Wednesday morning as a weak trough of low pressure at the surface and aloft slides east across the District. A potent area of surface low pressure moves northeast, reaching Central Lake Erie late Wednesday night. This weather feature with its preceding warm front and trailing cold front will usher in warmer and more unstable conditions for late Wednesday night and early Thursday. An anticipated rather large area of very fast moving showers and potentially strong to severe thunderstorms will move East across the region during this period with frequent lightning and the potential for localized damaging wind gusts. After the bulk of the showers and storms settles to the south and east of PA by the late morning Thursday, it will become windy during the late morning and afternoon hours on Thursday with gusts of 30 to 35 mph. Another several day string of dry conditions will follow for Thursday through Sunday. && Warren- Including the city of Warren 315 AM EDT Tue Jun 16 2026 Today Tonight Wed Cloud Cover Mclear Pcldy Pcldy Precip Type None Tstms None Chance Precip (%) 0 60 0 Chance of Thunder (%) 0 20 0 Temp (24h trend) 73 (+10) 51 (+5) 75 RH % (24h trend) 38 (-13) 98 (+9) 42 20ftWnd-Val/AM(mph) Lgt/Var SW 5 G15 20ftWnd-Rdg/PM(mph) SW 5 G13 Lgt/Var SW 6 G16 Precip Amount 0.00 0.01 0.00 Precip Duration 2 Precip Begin 12 AM Precip End 6 AM Mixing Hgt(ft-agl) 6800 450 5710 Transport Wnd (mph) SW 16 S 9 SW 20 Vent Rate (kt-ft) 95200 3600 97070 Dispersion 5 2 5 DSI 2 2 Sunshine Hours 11 7 Max ADI Early 89 Good 7 Poor 91 Good Max ADI Late 118 Very Good8 Poor 120 Very Good Max LVORI Early 4 3 6 Max LVORI Late 1 5 1 Remarks: ADI is Atmospheric Dispersion Index by Lavdas.
