Increasing southwesterly flow at the surface and aloft will transport an increasingly moist and unstable airmass into the District today. This will result in min RHs ranging from the low to mid 50s in the South and 60s to low 70s over Northern PA where thickening cloud cover will spread in ahead of cold front. Showers and scattered strong to potentially severe thunderstorms will move into the Northern half of the state later this afternoon and evening with some localized strong wind gusts. As the front pushes into Southern Pennsylvania Thursday, it will temporarily stall as a weak wave of low pressure ripples east along it, keeping showers and a chance for a thunderstorm in the forecast across the southern third to half of PA through the day Thursday. The heat and humidity will peak today, followed by a cooling trend into the weekend. && Warren- Including the city of Warren 251 AM EDT Wed Sep 9 2026 Today Tonight Thu Cloud Cover Mcldy Mcldy Pcldy Precip Type Tstms Tstms None Chance Precip (%) 60 90 0 Chance of Thunder (%) 50 50 0 Temp (24h trend) 83 (+3) 64 (+6) 76 RH % (24h trend) 65 (+18) 100 (+6) 63 20ftWnd-Val/AM(mph) Lgt/Var Lgt/Var 20ftWnd-Rdg/PM(mph) SW 7 G19 SW 6 G19 Lgt/Var Precip Amount 0.12 0.50 0.00 Precip Duration 2 6 Precip Begin 8 AM Continuing Precip End Continuing 2 AM Mixing Hgt(ft-agl) 3310 470 3880 Transport Wnd (mph) SW 20 W 10 W 15 Vent Rate (kt-ft) 56270 4230 50440 Dispersion 5 2 5 DSI 2 1 Sunshine Hours 3 5 Max ADI Early 31 Fair 16 Gen Poor 28 Fair Max ADI Late 59 Gen Good 8 Poor 66 Good Max LVORI Early 5 7 8 Max LVORI Late 3 8 3 Remarks: ADI is Atmospheric Dispersion Index by Lavdas.
