A slow-moving warm front extended from near Olean New York, southeast to near Selinsgrove, Reading and Allentown this afternoon. Showers were developing just to the south of this boundary, within about 20 miles either side of the I-99 corridor in South Central PA. The showers will increase in coverage and drift to the northeast, with some growing into scattered thunderstorms for late this afternoon into this evening. It will be very warm afternoon across much of Central and Southwestern PA with temperatures peaking in the 70s to low 80s with an increasing, moderately gusty southerly breeze of 15-20 mph. The NorthCentral and Endless Mountains regions of the state will be a bit cooler in the 60s. More showers and thunderstorms are expected tonight in the very warm and humid airmass along and ahead of a cold front. The cold front and a band of rain and possible thunderstorms will push through late tonight and Sunday morning. Notably colder air behind the front will keep temperatures well below normal for the first half of the new week. Dry air may lead to the RH dipping into the 30s and even down into the 20s during middle of next week. && Warren- Including the city of Warren 300 PM EDT Sat Apr 4 2026 Tonight Sun Sun Night Mon Cloud Cover Mcldy Mcldy Mcldy Mcldy Precip Type Tstms None Snow Showers Showers Chance Precip (%) 100 0 10 60 Chance of Thunder (%) 50 0 0 0 Temp (24h trend) 39 (-10) 48 (-29) 30 45 RH % (24h trend) 100 (+1) 57 (+3) 84 57 20ftWnd-Val/AM(mph) W 7 G19 Lgt/Var 20ftWnd-Rdg/PM(mph) S 7 G20 W 9 G23 W 8 G21 W 6 G17 Precip Amount 0.57 0.00 0.00 0.02 Precip Duration 7 1 4 Precip Begin 7 PM 7 PM 8 AM Precip End 6 AM 2 AM Continuing Mixing Hgt(ft-agl) 770 4410 1820 4440 Transport Wnd (mph) S 18 W 29 W 17 W 23 Vent Rate (kt-ft) 12320 110250 27300 88800 Dispersion 4 5 5 5 DSI 1 2 Sunshine Hours 2 4 Max ADI Early 29 Fair 65 Good 39 Fair 39 Fair Max ADI Late 23 Fair 86 Good 24 Fair 67 Good Max LVORI Early 3 4 3 3 Max LVORI Late 5 2 4 2 Remarks: ADI is Atmospheric Dispersion Index by Lavdas.
