Colder and drier air will continue to move in through Tuesday. A warm-up begins on Wednesday, but dewpoints probably won't rise much on Wed. The RH will stay in the 30s and 40s today, with the lowest values occurring across the south-central mountains. The air continues to dry out on Tuesday, and RH is expected to dip into the upper 20s and 30s across all of Central PA. The wind will get gusty on Tuesday with frequent gusts into the 20-25 MPH range and perhaps above 30 MPH on the hills of the W and in the downslope area of the Lower Susquehanna Valley. Scattered light showers of mixed snow and rain are expected at the same time, mainly north of I-80. The wind and potential mixing of much drier air from several thousand feet above ground could lead to RHs 5 to 10 percent lower than currently forecast for Tuesday afternoon, which would place them as low as 20 to 25 percent in some locations. High pressure will slide to the southeast on Wednesday and turn the wind to the south. We are expecting RH to go into the 20s for all of Central PA Wed. The wind will start out calm Wed AM then pick up, especially over the Allegheny Plateau and Laurel Highlands. We will very much appreciate insights from our PA DCNR partners w.r.t. fuel moistures and any recommendations on possible actions for those days. && Warren- Including the city of Warren 231 PM EDT Mon Apr 6 2026 Tonight Tue Tue Night Wed Cloud Cover Mcldy Pcldy Mclear Mclear Precip Type Frz Rain None None None Chance Precip (%) 60 0 0 0 Chance of Thunder (%) 0 0 0 0 Temp (24h trend) 24 (-5) 36 (-8) 17 54 RH % (24h trend) 90 (+3) 38 (-23) 79 23 20ftWnd-Val/AM(mph) NW 8 G21 Lgt/Var 20ftWnd-Rdg/PM(mph) Lgt/Var NW 6 G18 Lgt/Var S 5 G14 Precip Amount 0.06 0.00 0.00 0.00 Precip Duration 2 Precip Begin 6 PM Precip End 6 AM Mixing Hgt(ft-agl) 820 4420 210 3840 Transport Wnd (mph) W 12 N 17 SE 5 S 21 Vent Rate (kt-ft) 8200 66300 840 69120 Dispersion 3 5 1 5 DSI 2 2 Sunshine Hours 6 11 Max ADI Early 11 Poor 92 Good 7 Poor 34 Fair Max ADI Late 33 Fair 92 Good 2 Very Poor 91 Good Max LVORI Early 5 3 3 4 Max LVORI Late 4 1 4 1 Remarks: ADI is Atmospheric Dispersion Index by Lavdas.
