Increasing cloud cover is expected across the region today as chances for rain increase across western Pennsylvania later this afternoon and into the evening hours. Showers and thunderstorms along a cold front are expected, with some strong-to-severe thunderstorms across NW PA this afternoon and into the early evening hours. The main hazard in severe thunderstorms today will be damaging wind gusts, mainly between 4PM and 8PM. The aforementioned cold front will bring a wind shift to the region this evening and into Sunday morning. Southeasterly gusts between 20 and 30 mph across much of the area will shift northwesterly behind the cold frontal passage also generally between 20 and 30 mph. Unsettled pattern continues on Sunday with much cooler conditions with all of central Pennsylvania dropping below freezing Monday night into Tuesday morning. Drier conditions prevail Monday and continue through the middle of the week, with wind gusts between 15 and 25 mph on Monday before wind gusts become lighter for the middle of the week. && Warren- Including the city of Warren 220 AM EDT Sat Apr 18 2026 Today Tonight Sun Cloud Cover Pcldy Mcldy Pcldy Precip Type Tstms Tstms Showers Chance Precip (%) 90 90 30 Chance of Thunder (%) 50 50 0 Temp (24h trend) 78 (+5) 35 (-18) 47 RH % (24h trend) 42 (+3) 94 (+5) 37 20ftWnd-Val/AM(mph) S 8 G23 W 6 G19 20ftWnd-Rdg/PM(mph) SW 11 G25 W 7 G22 W 9 G21 Precip Amount 0.35 0.32 0.03 Precip Duration 2 5 1 Precip Begin 2 PM Continuing Continuing Precip End Continuing Continuing Continuing Mixing Hgt(ft-agl) 5080 1060 7680 Transport Wnd (mph) SW 35 W 18 W 32 Vent Rate (kt-ft) 152400 16960 215040 Dispersion 5 4 5 DSI 2 2 Sunshine Hours 6 5 Max ADI Early 71 Good 21 Fair 124 Very Good Max ADI Late 105 Very Good24 Fair 222 Very Good Max LVORI Early 4 5 4 Max LVORI Late 1 5 1 Remarks: ADI is Atmospheric Dispersion Index by Lavdas.
