High pressure over Lower Michigan this morning will drift east and become centered over the Lower Hudson River Valley Sunday morning. Gusty northwest winds across the east will weaken during the afternoon under sunny skies. There will be an increase in cloud cover for Sunday and also an increase in wind speeds from the south. Gusts in the low to mid 20s (MPH) are expected for Sunday. A warm front will move into the region on Monday, accompanied by mostly cloudy conditions, a gusty southwesterly wind and a chance for a few showers. There could be a narrow window of elevated fire weather conditions Monday afternoon ahead of the rain with gusty winds and low RH. It will trend very warm this week, with near-record temperatures Wednesday and Thursday.
