Another very warm summerlike day is in store with high temperatures ranging from the mid 70s in the northern tier to the upper 80s in the south with morning clouds giving way to more sunshine in the afternoon, especially in the south. This will allow drier air to mix down from aloft, with min RH values likely falling to around 30 percent, and possibly as low as the low 20s pct (in the south-central mountains). RH will be much higher (50+ pct) in the northwest. Winds from the S to SW will gust 20-25 mph. The wind and dry air will result in an elevated risk of wildfire spread this afternoon and evening across south central and southeastern PA, but we expect the conditions will not be critical enough to warrant a Red Flag Warning. Showers and thunderstorms are expected to develop across the north and west by the late afternoon and early evening hours, then weaken as they move east towards the Susquehanna Valley through midnight. Highest rainfall totals expected to the north and west. Friday is expected to be a less active day in terms of thunderstorms, with only a slight chance of showers in the forecast. Min RH values are expected to be about 5-10 pct higher than today, temps will be cooler (but still above average), and winds will be lighter. && Warren- Including the city of Warren 745 AM EDT Thu Apr 16 2026 Today Tonight Fri Cloud Cover Mcldy Mcldy Pcldy Precip Type Tstms Tstms None Chance Precip (%) 80 60 0 Chance of Thunder (%) 50 50 0 Temp (24h trend) 77 (0) 52 (-6) 72 RH % (24h trend) 55 (-7) 98 (0) 49 20ftWnd-Val/AM(mph) SW 5 G16 Lgt/Var 20ftWnd-Rdg/PM(mph) SW 8 G19 W 5 G16 Lgt/Var Precip Amount 0.28 0.22 0.00 Precip Duration 5 2 Precip Begin 6 AM Continuing Precip End Continuing 3 AM Mixing Hgt(ft-agl) 4830 470 4240 Transport Wnd (mph) SW 30 W 9 W 3 Vent Rate (kt-ft) 125580 3760 12720 Dispersion 5 2 5 DSI 2 2 Sunshine Hours 4 6 Max ADI Early 8 Poor 8 Poor 15 Gen Poor Max ADI Late Very Poor 8 Poor 20 Gen Poor Max LVORI Early 9 6 9 Max LVORI Late 4 8 3 Remarks: ADI is Atmospheric Dispersion Index by Lavdas.
