A slow moving surface boundary over Central PA will focus the potential for several rounds of strong to severe storms today through Thursday. The exact timing, coverage and location of storm development/movement remains somewhat elusive. However, confidence and precip probabilities are clustered in several periods based on high resolution model guidance and weighting of individual ensemble. The environment is highly supportive of organized storms so the conditional severe threat is relatively high when compared to your average day in early September. The risk for severe storms diminishes on Friday followed by a short, though welcome break in the late summer heat and humidity for the upcoming weekend. && Warren- Including the city of Warren 226 AM EDT Wed Sep 2 2026 Today Tonight Thu Cloud Cover Pcldy Mcldy Pcldy Precip Type Tstms Tstms Tstms Chance Precip (%) 50 80 70 Chance of Thunder (%) 50 50 50 Temp (24h trend) 88 (+2) 67 (-1) 84 RH % (24h trend) 63 (-2) 100 (0) 67 20ftWnd-Val/AM(mph) Lgt/Var Lgt/Var 20ftWnd-Rdg/PM(mph) Lgt/Var Lgt/Var W 5 G13 Precip Amount 0.17 0.33 0.19 Precip Duration 1 5 3 Precip Begin 6 AM Continuing Continuing Precip End Continuing Continuing Continuing Mixing Hgt(ft-agl) 3550 450 2630 Transport Wnd (mph) SW 15 W 13 W 13 Vent Rate (kt-ft) 46150 4950 28930 Dispersion 5 2 5 DSI 2 1 Sunshine Hours 5 4 Max ADI Early 17 Gen Poor 8 Poor 35 Fair Max ADI Late 66 Good 8 Poor 41 Gen Good Max LVORI Early 7 5 7 Max LVORI Late 3 6 3 Remarks: ADI is Atmospheric Dispersion Index by Lavdas.
