Colder and drier air will continue to move in today and Tuesday. A warm-up begins on Wednesday, but dewpoints probably won't rise much on Wed. The RH will stay in the 40s today, perhaps dipping into the upper 30s over the south-central mountains. The air continues to dry out on Tuesday, and RH is expected to dip into the upper 20s and 30s across all of Central PA. The wind will get gusty on Tuesday with frequent gusts into the 20-25 MPH range and perhaps above 30 MPH on the hills of the W and in the downslope area of the Lower Susquehanna Valley. Scattered light showers of mixed snow and rain are expected at the same time, mainly north of I-80. High pressure will slide to the southeast on Wednesday and turn the wind to the south. We are expecting RH to go into the 20s for all of Central PA Wed. The wind will start out calm Wed AM then pick up, especially over the Allegheny Plateau and Laurel Highlands. We will very much appreciate insights from our PA DCNR partners w.r.t. fuel moistures and any recommendations on possible actions for those days. && Warren- Including the city of Warren 1148 AM EDT Mon Apr 6 2026 Today Tonight Tue Cloud Cover Pcldy Mcldy Pcldy Precip Type Showers Frz Rain None Chance Precip (%) 60 60 0 Chance of Thunder (%) 0 0 0 Temp (24h trend) 45 (+2) 24 (-8) 36 RH % (24h trend) 59 (-6) 90 (+3) 38 20ftWnd-Val/AM(mph) Lgt/Var NW 8 G21 20ftWnd-Rdg/PM(mph) Lgt/Var Lgt/Var NW 6 G18 Precip Amount 0.05 0.06 0.00 Precip Duration 3 2 Precip Begin 8 AM Continuing Precip End Continuing 6 AM Mixing Hgt(ft-agl) 3240 880 4510 Transport Wnd (mph) W 13 W 9 N 17 Vent Rate (kt-ft) 35640 7040 67650 Dispersion 5 3 5 DSI 2 2 2 Sunshine Hours 4 6 Max ADI Early 42 Gen Good 10 Poor 86 Good Max ADI Late 45 Gen Good 29 Fair 94 Good Max LVORI Early 5 5 3 Max LVORI Late 3 4 1 Remarks: ADI is Atmospheric Dispersion Index by Lavdas.
