A complex of showers and thunderstorms are expected to brush the southern half of Pennsylvania early this morning, with scattered showers and thunderstorms across the northern half of Pennsylvania through the morning hours. Additional scattered showers and storms will likely pass through the southeastern half of the forecast area from late Thursday morning through mid-afternoon before reaching peak intensity along the I-95 corridor. Gusty westerly winds are also expected today, with maximum wind gusts reaching upwards of 50 mph this afternoon across higher elevations of Pennsylvania. Gusty winds across the rest of the area are expected to top out closer to 40-45 mph this afternoon.
