Deep southerly flow ahead of a slow-moving cold front across the Central Great Lakes will tap increasingly moist/tropical air off the Eastern Gulf and Western Atlantic and funnel it up along the Appalachian Mountains and into Central PA right through Saturday. Scattered to numerous thunderstorms will occur each afternoon and evening, and could create heavy downpours. The heaviest rainfall this afternoon will likely be focused near and to the southeast of I-81 corridor. Strong wind gusts are also possible with some of the storms, mainly across the Lower Susquehanna Valley. High humidity levels will persist into Saturday, so be sure to stay well hydrated, take frequent breaks when you are outdoors, and stay inside air conditioned spaces as often as possible. && Warren- Including the city of Warren 228 AM EDT Fri Aug 7 2026 Today Tonight Sat Cloud Cover Mcldy Mcldy Pcldy Precip Type Tstms Tstms Tstms Chance Precip (%) 70 80 50 Chance of Thunder (%) 50 50 50 Temp (24h trend) 80 (-3) 63 (0) 82 RH % (24h trend) 73 (+11) 100 (+1) 67 20ftWnd-Val/AM(mph) Lgt/Var SW 5 G13 20ftWnd-Rdg/PM(mph) Lgt/Var Lgt/Var SW 6 G15 Precip Amount 0.33 0.07 0.04 Precip Duration 4 4 1 Precip Begin 7 AM Continuing Continuing Precip End Continuing Continuing Continuing Mixing Hgt(ft-agl) 2860 440 4270 Transport Wnd (mph) S 8 S 7 SW 16 Vent Rate (kt-ft) 20020 2640 59780 Dispersion 5 2 5 DSI 2 2 Sunshine Hours 4 4 Max ADI Early 12 Poor 13 Gen Poor 35 Fair Max ADI Late 28 Fair 6 Very Poor 79 Good Max LVORI Early 8 9 8 Max LVORI Late 3 9 4 Remarks: ADI is Atmospheric Dispersion Index by Lavdas.
