FOR MANY LOCATIONS HOWEVER...TOTAL PRECIPITATION FOR THE MONTH VARIED UNDER ONE QUARTER OF AN INCH. AT ABILENE REGIONAL AIRPORT...THE AVERAGE TEMPERATURE FOR NOVEMBER WAS 56.9 DEGREES. A STRONG COLD FRONT WITH THIS SYSTEM SWEPT THROUGH WEST CENTRAL TEXAS DURING THE OVERNIGHT HOURS OF THE 14TH AND 15TH. STRONG GUSTY NORTH NORTHWEST WINDS FOLLOWED PASSAGE OF THIS COLD FRONT... AND CONTINUED THROUGH MUCH OF THE DAY ON THE 15TH. PEAK WIND GUSTS REACHED 54 MPH AT ABILENE...45 MPH AT SAN ANGELO...AND 41 MPH AT JUNCTION. A HIGH PRESSURE SYSTEM WITH COLDER AIR SETTLED SOUTH INTO WEST TEXAS ON THE NIGHT OF THE 15TH. WITH DIMINISHED WINDS AND THE DRY AIRMASS...TEMPERATURES FELL QUICKLY AFTER SUNSET. AFTER A STRONG COLD FRONTAL PASSAGE ON THE 29TH...MUCH COLDER AIR INVADED THE REGION FROM THE NORTH...AND WAS ACCOMPANIED BY STRONG GUSTY NORTH TO NORTHWEST WINDS. PEAK WIND GUSTS ON THE 30TH INCLUDED 39 MPH AT ABILENE...43 MPH AT SAN ANGELO AND 41 MPH IN JUNCTION. TEMPERATURES REMAINED IN THE 30S ACROSS MOST OF WEST CENTRAL TEXAS ON THE 30TH...AND WIND CHILL VALUES WERE IN THE TEENS FOR PART OF THE DAY.
