A strong cold front will continue pushing through the Intermountain West and Four Corners through Saturday, bringing heavy snow to the Rockies and gusty winds. Winter Storm Warnings remain in effect for portions of the Utah, Colorado, and Montana mountains. Temperatures will be a few degrees warmer today. Breezy southeast winds will continue this afternoon.
Temperatures will be on a warming trend this weekend into next week, with dwindled rain chances for our area. Temperatures are expected to be 10 to 15 degrees above normal Tuesday through Thursday.
It's a bit scary that rainfall remains zero for the month for Abilene and San Angelo as of October 17, and none looks likely next week.
Warmer temperatures and below normal precipitation are expected this Winter as a weak La Nina develops.
