Much cooler weather, partial sunshine.

Astronomical high tides near 7.0 feet Tuesday and Wednesday mornings will combine with elevated surf of 3-5 feet to produce minor coastal flooding, especially along south and southwest facing beaches. Minor coastal erosion and strong rip currents also expected.

Elevated northerly winds expected for the High Desert, SBD County Mtns, and Coachella Valley on Tuesday. Widespread gusts 25-35 mph, locally to 45 mph.

Warming trend from midweek into the weekend will create widespread minor HeatRisk along with moderate HeatRisk in the coastal basin from Friday onward.
