Strong north to northeast gusts will remain confined to the coastal slopes of the San Bernardino County mtns, Inland Empire, Santa Ana mtns, and Inland Orange County. Gusts 25-40 mph in these areas through the early afternoon with isolated gusts to 55 mph through wind prone passes and canyons.
Gusts peaking Saturday morning around 35-50 mph for valley locations. Gusts up to 65 mph expected along coastal slopes and downwind of the Cajon Pass (northern Inland Empire). Winds remain periodically elevated through Sunday (about 5-15 mph lower than Saturday morning).
Highs 10 to 20 degrees above normal for areas west of the mountains. For the coastal areas: 79 to 86, western valleys and inland Orange County: 83 to 89, inland valleys: 75 to 84, mountains between 4000 ft and 7000 ft: 57 to 66, high desert: 70 to 74, low desert: 81 to 88.
Chance for showers Monday of next week for inland San Diego County.
