There will be areas of stronger and gusty southwest to west winds for the mountains and deserts for today and tonight with the stronger gusts to 35 to 45 mph.
Moist onshore flow will continue into southwestern California into Wednesday with light rainfall spreading southward across portions of the area, mainly from the coast to the mountains, for today into this evening and again for late tonight through Wednesday morning. For Orange and southwestern San Bernardino Counties, rainfall is expected to range from less than one-tenth inch near the coast to one-tenth to one-quarter inch near the coastal slopes of the mountains with locally greater amounts. Amounts are expected to decrease toward the south across Riverside and San Diego Counties with little or no measurable rainfall across southern San Diego County. Snow levels will mostly be above 9000 feet.
High temperatures on Wednesday will be slightly cooler than Tuesday.
Chilly temperatures expected Thursday morning. Areas of frost possible in the High Deserts where temperatures will be near freezing.
