Gusty southwest to west winds expected. In the mountains, peak gusts of 50 to 60 mph with local gusts to 65 mph possible on the desert slopes of the San Bernardino mountains. In the deserts, peak gusts of 45 to 55 mph, locally up to 60 mph through the San Gorgonio Pass. Winds will weaken Wednesday.

Light rain showers are expected this afternoon into tonight. Hourly rainfall rates are expected to be 0.10" or less. Rainfall totals of up to 0.10" possible for the coast and valleys, with totals 0.10-0.25" possible in the mountains. The coastal slopes of the San Bernardino mountains are expected to see the most rainfall accumulation.
