Widespread rain expected through today, clearing out this evening. Periods of moderate to locally heavy rain will continue, especially in the mountains and deserts.
Gusty southwest to west winds expected across the area. Expect wind gusts of 25 to 30 mph for the coastal waters, coast, and valleys, and 40 to 60 mph for the desert slopes of the mtns and into the deserts. Gusts near 70 mph through the San Gorgonio pass and other passes and canyons.
Another low-pressure system from the northwest will continue rainfall chances for the coastal basin and mountains Monday into Tuesday. This rain is expected to be lighter and more scattered in coverage. Dry conditions will return by Wednesday.
A low-pressure system will bring colder air from the northwest which could result in small amounts of snow at the highest elevations of the San Bernardino and San Jacinto Mountains late Monday into Tuesday.
