Temperatures cooling ahead of storm system. Well below average area wide. For the coastal areas: 62 to 66, western valleys and inland Orange County: 65 to 68, inland valleys: 62 to 68, mountains between 4000 ft and 7000 ft: 48 to 58, high desert: 63 to 69, low desert: 75 to 79.

The first widespread light rainfall event of the season is expected to occur Saturday evening and overnight. Most areas will receive less than 0.1", but parts of the mountains and San Diego valleys will receive 0.1-0.2" with some westward facing slopes reaching a quarter of an inch or more.
Storm system will bring widespread onshore wind gusts of 25-35 mph for the deserts, desert slopes and over marine waters both Saturday and Sunday morning, with highest gusts in excess of 50 mph for the San Diego deserts and mountain passes.
Santa Ana winds will develop behind this weekend's storm system. Dry conditions and gusty winds will prevail across the Santa Ana Mountains, San Bernardino Mountains, Orange County Inland, and portions of the Inland Empire. Strong winds may cause minor damage and fire weather risk will be elevated.
