A High Wind Watch remains in effect Tuesday through late Wednesday night (except starting Tuesday night in San Diego County). Strongest northeast to east winds are expected Wednesday morning when local gusts to 75 mph could occur in the windiest passes, canyons, and coastal mountain slopes, with more widespread gusts around 50 mph. Tree damage, blowing dust, increased fire danger, and dangerous travel for high profile vehicles will be possible.
Monday will be slightly warmer in the mountains and some of the deserts but slightly cooler near the coast.
Cooler weather will occur across the region Tuesday, with highs only in the 60s to near 70 at lower elevations.
