Summer temperatures returning this weekend into next week. Temperatures will peak today and Saturday for the deserts but will continue increasing inland through early next week. Groups sensitive to heat should prepare for unseasonably to dangerously high temperatures through early next week.
Slightly warmer than Thursday, as much as 10 to 15 degrees above average for the deserts. High temperatures for today will be in the upper 70s to low 80s for the coast, upper 80s to upper 90s for the inland valleys, 90s for the high desert, 104 to 113 for the lower deserts, and in the 80s in the mountains for elevations from 4500 to 7000 feet.
High Saturday will be similar to today. Slightly hotter for the low desert.
Highs in the upper 70s to 80s for the coast and mountains, upper 80s to 90s for the inland valleys, 95 to 102 for the High Desert and 105 to 113 for the lower deserts.
An Excessive Heat Warning is in effect from 10 AM today through 8 PM on Saturday for the low desert. Groups sensitive to heat should prepare for unseasonably to dangerously hot temperatures through early next week.
