A cold, low pressure system from the north will move through southern California by Tuesday. This system will bring showers and a slight chance of thunderstorms. The snow level will fall to around 4000 to 4500 feet for tonight and Monday. Widespread 0.80-1.50" expected for coasts and valleys with 1.5-3" in the mountains. 80 percent or greater chance for two inches or more of rainfall/liquid-equivalent for the typically wetter mountain locations.

Temperatures closer to seasonal averages. For the coastal areas: 58 to 63, western valleys and inland Orange County: 61 to 64, inland valleys: 61 to 66, mountains between 4000 ft and 7000 ft: 41 to 49, high desert: 58 to 63, low desert: 69 to 74.
