High temperatures will be warmer today, but still a few degrees below normal.

Highs in the 70s in the coastal basin, 50s to lower 60s in the mountains, 60s in the High Desert, and lower 80s in the low deserts.

Weak to locally moderate Santa Ana winds are expected to pick up later this week. Wind gusts for Friday and Saturday will generally be 15-25 mph within inland valleys. Localized gusts 30-40 mph possible near mountain passes and within mountain foothills.

Offshore winds help bring mild conditions this weekend. Coastal areas may even be warmer than some of the inland locations. High temperatures for the coasts and valleys will range from near 10 degrees above normal to as much as 20 degrees above normal.
