Minor HeatRisk for the Inland Empire with slightly above average temperatures (90-98°F). Widespread moderate HeatRisk, locally major for the deserts as high temperatures reach 108-112°F with little overnight relief. A cooling trend starts Wednesday.
A 3 ft, 14-17 second south and southwesterly swells will continue to bring elevated surf of 3-6 feet with sets up to 7 feet, especially on more south-facing beaches. This south swell will persist at least through the end of the week. A Beach Hazard Statement is in effect through Friday evening. High risk for rip currents accompanies this elevated surf, with strong longshore currents along more west-facing beaches.
