3 ft south and southwesterly swells at 14-17 seconds will continue to bring elevated surf of 3-5 feet with sets up to 6 feet, especially on more south-southwest facing beaches. This swell will persist into next week. A Beach Hazard Statement is in effect through Friday evening. High risk for rip currents accompanies this elevated surf, with strong longshore currents along more west-facing beaches.
