Slightly cooler than Thursday, but still above average. For the coastal areas: 64 to 72, western valleys and inland Orange County: 71 to 76, inland valleys: 73 to 79, mountains between 4000 ft and 7000 ft: 59 to 67, high desert: 68 to 71, low desert: 76 to 79.
Highs near normal for the coasts and 5-15 degrees above normal inland. For the coastal areas: 62 to 69, western valleys and inland Orange County: 67 to 72, inland valleys: 69 to 75, mountains between 4000 ft and 7000 ft: 57 to 65, high desert: 67 to 71, low desert: 75 to 78.
Very dry conditions will prevail for inland areas Friday and Saturday afternoons in the wake of Santa Ana winds. Relative humidity values will fall below 15% in areas of the mountains each afternoon.
A low pressure trough will bring some rain to Southern California, most likely Tuesday afternoon through the night on Christmas Eve. Chance of rain will range from 10 to 50 percent across the region. Rainfall will be light.
