Large swell will produce high surf and strong rip currents from Saturday to Tuesday, especially along south facing beaches. Dangerous conditions for swimming and surfing expected. These waves will combine with astronomical high tides to produce minor coastal flooding in low-lying areas.

Cool morning temperatures and below seasonal average temperatures continue Saturday.

Rain chances increase tonight into Sunday, mainly for the High Desert and the coastal basin/mtns north of San Diego County. Peak rainfall rates most likely 0.20-0.40 inches per hour. There will be a slight chance for thunderstorms over the San Bernardino mountains and high desert in the afternoon.
