Well above normal temperatures will allow for minor to moderate heat risk across Southern California late this week.
Saturday offers a slight reprieve as temperatures cool by a few degrees across the region. Still hot and above average temperatures.
Highs Sunday increase once again, reaching into the 90s inland and over 100 in the Coachella Valley.
The upper ridge re-strengthens Sunday, setting the stage for additional daily record highs (and perhaps monthly record highs) across the region
