Wicked Waves Safety Tips
Know before you go.  Check the noaa.gov surf forecast for your area so see if it's safe to swim. Be current smart, stay out of the water when waves are high, never jumps off a pier, rip currents are common near piers, if caught in a rip, swim parellel
Be current smark, know to escape a dangerous wave, flip fon your back and float to conserve energy, wave for help or swim parrelel to shore out of the current, then back to shore. Steer Clear of The Pier.  Rip currents tend to form near peers.  Don't get caught in a deadly current.
