This week is Flood Safety and Severe Weather Awareness Week in West Virginia!  As part of the campaign, all West Virginians are encouraged to activate and practice their severe weather emergency plans during the Statewide Tornado Drill set to take place at 11 am, Tuesday March 16Click here for Frequently Asked Questions about the Statewide Tornado Drill.

Severe weather awareness and preparedness involves three steps:

Also, consider becoming a Weather Spotter!  Multiple live, virtual classes will be held this week from the NWS offices that serve the state.  Register for the class that fits your schedule best!
