...WXL60 NWR transmitter in Roanoke offline until Monday...

The NOAA Weather Radio All-Hazards transmitter in Roanoke, VA
(WXL60), operating on a frequency of 162.475 MHz, will be offline
until at least Monday January 22nd 2018. Telecom technicians 
report that a guard rail had cut the fiberoptic line servicing the
transmitter with the Virginia Dept. of Transportation needing to 
close part of the road before maintenance work can be performed. 

Additional NOAA Weather Radio broadcasts can be received at the
following frequencies for those impacted by the NWR outage: 

* WXL92 operating on a frequency of 162.55 MHz, based in 
  Lynchburg, VA. 

* KJY86 operating on a frequency of 162.525 MHz, based in Halifax,
  VA

* WZ2500 operating on a frequency of 162.45 MHz, based in Sand 
  Mountain, VA in Wythe County. 

* WXM72 operating on a frequency of 162.425 MHz, based in Hinton,
  WV.
