SYNOPSIS:
A strong cold front will move across west and central this morning. This front will bring more snow to the western mountains and valleys with moderate to locally heavy snow falling this morning. Strong to high winds are also expected with this storm. Sustained winds will be 30 to 45 mph with gusts of 50 to 65 mph across the mountains, and portions of central and southwest Wyoming.
IMPACTS:
Severely reduced visibility at times from snow and blowing snow. Strong to possibly high wind gusts will create dangerous cross winds. This includes I-80, I-90, I-25, and Wyoming Boulevard.

...EVENT SUMMARY...
Another intense jet streak moved over the area, mixing strong gusty
winds to the surface. Winds began increasing early Tuesday morning
and continued through the day on Tuesday 3/17/26. Below is the
highest wind gust report received for each of the listed locations.
Only wind gusts 45 mph or greater are included.
