The May 2019 climate summaries for Big Piney, Buffalo, Casper, Greybull, Lake Yellowstone, Lander, Riverton, Rock Springs, and Worland are now available online. Unfortunately the data for Yellowstone was missing for the second half of the month.

May 2019 was a cold month across the board, with all of the locations in the top 6 for coldest month. Casper had their coldest May since 1950. In Wyoming, May started off with the coldest temperatures being reported at many sites on the 1st and 2nd. The warmest stretch of days was in mid month with the highest temperatures reported on the 13th to 15th. It then cooled off through the end of the month. There were several daily low record temperatures broken across the state at the different locations. May was on the wet side for almost every site, with just Rock Springs and Big Piney having below normal precipitation. Worland had their wettest May since 2011.  Of note is the 27th of May, which was a very wet and record breaking day.On this day, five of the climate stations reported daily rainfall records. For more information, check out the climate data on our web page. See the links below for details for individual sites or click here for Water Year Precipitation summaries for more locations.

You can then find the Daily Climate Report (CLI), the Preliminary Monthly Climate Data (CF6), the Monthly Weather Summary (CLM), and the Regional Summary (RTP). The Daily Climate Report will have the weather data for the day (from midnight to 1159 pm). The Monthly Climate Data will have this data for each day of the month, compiling all the daily data into one form.
