Critical Fire Weather in the Plains; Severe Thunderstorms and Heavy Rain in the Mid-South

Gusty winds and low relative humidity will bring fire weather concerns over parts of the central and southern High Plains. Severe thunderstorms and heavy rain are expected across the Mid-South region and central Gulf states.   Overview

March 26 - Bands of moderate to heavy snow developed over a cold front across central Wyoming Sunday evening.  The heaviest snow fell from the Wind River Basin northeast across Johnson County.  Widespread snowfall of 6-8 inches accumulated in these areas. An observer 27 miles south of Tensleep reported the highest storm total snowfall of 10 inches, Riverton reported 9.2" and both Hudson and Mayoworth came in with 8 inches.

Sunday evening.  South Pass reported 9 inches of snow Monday morning.
