Two EF-0 Tornadoes Touch Down

 

 

Mt. Vista, Washington Tornado

Storm Survey Summary: The tornado started due north of the intersection of NE 31st Ave and NE 144th St where a large oak tree lost several large limbs and a fence was blown over. One limb was lofted up and over the rooftop of the residence on the north end of NE 31st Ave. However, no roof or other structural damage was noted. A large Douglas fir tree also sustained damage to the northeast of where NE 31st Ave turns to NE 143rd St. The damage path ended near the cul-de-sac on NE 33rd Avenue. This included tree, fence and patio furniture damage. In addition, a resident watched the condensation funnel lift back into the cloud at this point.

Start Location: 2 miles NNW of Aurora, Oregon

End Time: 3:40 P.M.

End Location: 2 miles N of Aurora, Oregon

Start Lat/Lon: 45.254035/-122.765317          

 

Storm Survey Summary: The tornado started on Boones Ferry Rd NE, west of the Aurora airport. Greenhouses in this area sustained damage and the tornado continued to travel east across the airport property. Two planes were flipped at Willamette Aviation Services. The tornado ended near Airport Rd NE.
