Thunderstorms and Widespread Rainfall Across the Southern Plains

Isolated severe thunderstorms and widespread showers may produce flash flooding across the Southern Plains through Thursday. Numerous instances of flash flooding are expected in south-central Texas, including portions of the Hill Country; and an additional area across eastern Oklahoma into the Ozarks on Thursday. BUFKIT Model Soundings

BUFKIT is a program written to display vertical soundings from different computer models that we use to predict the weather. The BUFKIT program must first be downloaded and installed on your computer. You must have the latest version, BUFKIT4, because the file naming system has changed, and older versions of BUFKIT will not recognize the new names.

BUFKIT Distribution and Installation

After you install the program, you can modify the BUFKIT.CFG file and download BUFKIT data from the BUFKIT Warehouse website.
