Atmospheric River in the Pacific Northwest and Northern Rockies this Weekend

A Pacific storm and atmospheric river will impact the Pacific Northwest states and northern Rockies this weekend, bringing locally heavy low elevations rain and heavy high elevation snow in the mountains. Satellite Dish

This is the satellite dish located next to the office. The satellite dish retrieves meteorological data. This data is then processed and used by forecasters to make the various products (such as the forecasts).

All of our products are then sent via a high speed line to a central distribution office, where products from all National Weather Service offices are made available to various users such as other government agencies, private weather companies, and the media.
