Dangerous Cold Weather for Most of the Country; Rare Winter Storm for the South; Fire Weather Concerns for Southern California

Arctic air will filter south and east through early this week. As this cold air moves across the South, a rare winter storm is forecast to develop from Texas, Gulf Coast States into the Southeast through early this week. Electronic Systems Analyst

The Electronic Systems Analyst (ESA) is responsible for maintaining all of the electronic equipment used by our office. This includes the radar, ASOS, AWIPS and the local area network (LAN).

The ESA works with the Meteorologist In Charge, representatives at the National Weather Service Eastern Region Headquarters and the forecast office Electronic Technicians to ensure that all equipment runs at peak performance.
