
The atmospheric river over the Pacific Northwest will begin to subside today, but lingering rainfall will exacerbate ongoing catastrophic major river flooding, and landslides will continue across portions of western Washington and northwest Oregon for several days. The Electronic Systems Analyst (ESA) is responsible for maintaining all of the electronic equipment used by our office. This includes the radar, ASOS, AWIPS and the local area network (LAN).
The ESA works with the Meteorologist In Charge, representatives at the National Weather Service Eastern Region Headquarters and the forecast office Electronic Technicians to ensure that all equipment runs at peak performance.
