A FAST, BUT POTENT STORM SYSTEM SWEPT ACROSS THE REGION LATE THURSDAY NIGHT AND LASTED THROUGH ABOUT MID-MORNING FRIDAY. WITH SOME CONVECTIVE BANDING EVIDENT DURING THIS STORM, MAINLY NORTH AND NORTHEAST OF PHILADELPHIA, SNOWFALL AMOUNTS VARIED GREATLY ACROSS A SHORT DISTANCE IN SOME AREAS. THERE WAS A CONCERN THAT SOME SNOWFALL TOTALS ACROSS CENTRAL NEW JERSEY AND PARTS OF THE DELAWARE VALLEY WERE A BIT HIGH, HOWEVER DUE TO SOME OF THE CONVECTIVE-ENHANCED BANDING (WITHIN THE OVERALL SNOW SHIELD), LOCALLY HIGHER AMOUNTS WERE VERY POSSIBLE. ELEVATION ALSO APPEARED TO HAVE PLAYED A ROLE DURING THIS EVENT, HOWEVER THERE WERE SOME ADJUSTMENTS MADE TO A FEW AMOUNTS. AS A REMINDER, THE SNOWFALL TOTALS BELOW ARE STILL CONSIDERED PRELIMINARY. MOST AMOUNTS BELOW ARE STORM TOTAL, BUT PLEASE CHECK THE TIMES LISTED JUST IN CASE, FOR THE MOST RECENT TOTAL IN EACH COUNTY.
