Isolated severe storms are possible today and tonight. The current most likely timing for storms is between noon and 7 PM, although uncertainty remains with this. Damaging wind gusts are the main threat.
There is a Slight (level 2 of 5) risk for severe thunderstorms Wednesday afternoon and evening. The risk is currently expected to be greatest north of I-70. Damaging wind gusts are the primary threat, although isolated large hail and a tornado are also possible.
What's the average last freeze for your area? Sources say its anywhere from April 22nd to May 6th depending on where you live. The earliest last freeze area-wide was Pittsburgh on March 26th, 1878; the latest last freeze area-wide was June 11th for eastern Ohio and northern West Virginia in 1972.
