Overview
Numerous thunderstorms formed ahead of a cold front during the late afternoon. Some supercells and bowing line segments were embedded within the large area of convection through the evening hours. A few transient low-level circulations were observed in the supercells, which exhibited stronger and more sustained rotation in the mid levels of the atmosphere. The bowing line segments produced isolated wind damage.NOTE: There are issues with the KML files for these tornadoes. We are working on these issues.

Wind & Hail:
Wind
Isolated pockets of wind damage were observed, mainly in western Kentucky and southwest Indiana. Short bowing lines of thunderstorms produced damaging winds in the Ohio River counties of western Kentucky, mainly Union and Henderson Counties. A wind gust to 90 mph was measured by the mesonet site four miles west of Spottsville in Henderson County. Roof damage was reported at a Kentucky Department of Highways facility in Henderson County. Trees and power lines were also down in Morganfield in Union County. Damage surveys will be conducted in Henderson County, KY over the next 24 hours.
The most intense damage was reported in Warrick, County Indiana, where damage surveys will be conducted over the next 24 hours. A number of homes sustained significant damage in the Newburgh area.
Wind gusts near 60 mph were estimated on the north side of Hopkinsville, KY, and a gust to 63 mph was measured over the state line in Clarksville, TN.
Hail
Very little in the way of hail was reported. A supercell entered southwest Christian County from Tennessee, but it weakened quickly as it approached Fort Campbell. Radar indicated hail from quarter to golf-ball size as the storm entered Christian County. No reports were received from that rural area.
