  • A slow-moving frontal boundary became the focus for several thunderstorm complexes
during the first few days of July. The primary hazard with these complexes was heavy
rainfall. The rain gage at the Calhoun Lock and Dam on the Green River measured a three-day
total of 6.27 inches. The Kentucky mesonet site located 6 miles north of Hopkinsville, KY
measured 5.48 inches. Below is a radar-generated estimate of rainfall totals for July 1st,
    2nd, and 3rd.
