Weather radar KVWX near Evansville Indiana to get an upgrade.

The weather radar located in Owensville Indiana will be down for
approximately 4 days starting tomorrow for technicians to install
an important upgrade.

During this outage, radar coverage will be available from
surrounding radars including:

KPAH - Paducah KY
KHPX - Fort Campbell KY
KLVX - Fort Knox KY
KIND - Indianapolis IN
KILX - Lincoln IL
KLSX - St. Louis MO

This is the first of four major upgrades, known as service life
extension projects, planned in the next 5 years to replace and
refurbish major components of the radars.
