Overview
A strong cold front moved through the region, accompanied by a line of thunderstorms during the evening hours on December 5th and into the early morning on the 6th. Pockets of damaging winds and large hail accompanied the strongest storms. There were 5 tornadoes that touched down in portions of southern Illinois and western Kentucky. Two additional tornadoes in western KY will be posted. A tornado produced damage in the city of West Frankfort, IL.Tornadoes:
